- Specification and Requirement documentation authoring. These documents are critical upfront work that should always be done for a new project to ensure all features needed are included and will perform properly to meet customer requirements. Radius can also offer review and update of existing specifications and requirements documents to better guide a team in the development process.
- Product Reliability. Designs must always take into account the environment and use cases to ensure reliability. This is ingrained in all our designs from the beginning with the requirements and specifications, to the selection of components and operational headroom, to the methodology of firmware implementation, and to the product testing. This must be validated with reliability testing that is appropriate for the end product.
- User Interface design: Storyboards, flow diagrams, and interactive simulations of how the user will operate a device or system is extremely important to develop upfront to ensure the design is ultimately successful. The user experience is extremely important for any product, ranging from home appliances to sophisticated apps. Everyone has seen the difference between poorly executed and well thought out interfaces, and upfront user interface design is key to success.
- Custom LCD design: A user interface requires the right display hardware. In nearly all new product development, some customization of hardware is required, ranging from design of bezels and enclosures, to custom LCD modules and touchscreens, to fully custom LCD glass and backlight. For example, the application may require a touch screen LCD that works in wet environments, or may require a very low cost custom LCD module with backlight. Radius has extensive experience in developing display solutions, including having worked with many display manufacturers.
