• BOM optimizations. Cost, supply chain availability, reliability. Choosing components for the BOM of a product can determine if it can be made or not! We carefully research the various options for each component in a design based on cost and supply chain availability. We also pay attention to market trends to avoid components on allocation and suppliers who tend to obsolete parts after just a few years. Once in production we can assist in rectifying issues that inevitably come up with the supply chain, and analyze costed BOM’s to ensure the CM is providing the best pricing for mass production.
• Test Methods and Procedures. Test methodology starts early in the project during the specification stage, then further expanded and detailed as the project progresses, Radius can develop test plans for both initial product testing and validation, as well as production line testing optimized for accuracy and speed.
• Test Fixtures. Radius has experience designing products for test, as well as designing test fixtures. We architect the test strategies from the start, often adding software and a custom fixture to allow the product to test itself.
• Manufacturing Launch. We can assist in taking your new product and getting it into production either domestically or overseas. We can prepare documentation required for getting quotes and for production launch, such as final BOM’s, assembly instructions, test instructions, drawing packages, etc. We have experience in vetting potential Contract Manufacturers and sub-suppliers relative to the requirements of the product.
